Obtaining Daily Content For Website

I'm going to develop a site for an out of state, small cable access television station. They wanted features such as daily national news feeds, daily local weather, daily movie listings for local theaters and similar content.

I figure that there are a variety of sites that allow you to pay a monthly or yearly subscription fee to either have that info piped into the site or to simply have the content posted within a particular target frame I can make on the page. Can anyone suggest places where I can either get free daily content that updates itself, or some really good subscription based sites like that? thanks!

For a company like this, search for a program called metar.pl for a weather solution.

For news I use Topix.net. on some site.
Washington Post provides some headlines, too, at no cost. Click and you go to their site. Others do this as well. You can customize the headlines to your interest (which would be good for a cable show.)
