Random Image Display

control panel > calander image effect(image of the day)

Greetings,

First of all, i just joined here and sorrie if i post in the wrong section. Not really familiar with all the sections yet cos' there are heaps.
So post here in general anyway.

I like to know how to create that random image effect whenever u refresh/visit the page, the images changes. eg. in control panel > the calendar image (image of the day), here in this site.

What type of script is that and how to implement it?
Any sample code for that?

I would suggest this thread will be better off in one of the scripting forums. I'll find a home for you and move it over.

Do you have any server-side scripting capability (php, CGI etc) or do you need to use javascript?

Yes do move it to relevant section plz. I'm still adjusting with nature of forums.

I dont want to do it with PHP, cos' i dont know much about php. May be Javascript could do the work then plz any help with javascript :-)
Actually dont really care which script, i just want that ramdom image effect. If no choice i much use php script then i'll do so, but my application is in asp.net.
