How do you do a "screenshot"?

I see sites that have screenshots of various things and some even edit out numers. How is this done?

Hitting "control+c" will capture a screen shot in Win, hitting "Print Screen" will paste that image for you.

Or you can download some screen capture software.

In Windows, hitting "Print Screen" will capture your entire monitor.
Hitting "ALT" + "Print Screen" will capture only the focused window.

Then you can paste the capture into most graphics editing programs or even into some MS apps.
