Besides webmasterworld.com,
do you know any "web hosting owner
discussion board"?

Have you tried searching Google? I just did a search for "web host owner forum" and didn't find anything. So I did a search for "web host forum" and found a bunch of stuff. You can also try other variations.

Give him a break, martini. It's easy to find a gazillion forums in Google but Google can't tell you which ones are the best. I'm sure he wanted a *recommendation*.

Unfortunately, just like WW doesn't allow discussions about web hosting, it also doesn't allow giving URLs to other sites, so no one is allowed to give you recommendations here in the forums.

Which, ironically, is probably why our poster is looking for another forum besides WW in the first place.

mich9el, I'll sticky you with a site that was recommended to me recently which seems pretty good.

Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. By telling him how to find it himself I did him a far better favor than your sticky.

I guess we disagree, then. I don't think brushing someone off onto Google is the same as "teaching them to fish". It certainly saved me some time by having a trusted expert point me to what he considers to be the best resource. Sure, I would have found it myself after digging through the various sites and trying to evaluate and contrast them all, but in the end I wouldn't be any better off than just getting the proper info in the first place.

If you really believe that sending someone to Google constitutes the best help, then maybe that should be the only answer you give to any post made on WebmasterWorld.

Don't waste your time... this is the best forum. I know... I tried a few others.

Most web hosting forums are run by web hosting sites.

Google will probably find zillions of sites with "Forum" in the name or on the page. Many hits will be references to Webmasterworld.com.

Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. By telling him how to find it himself I did him a far better favor than your sticky.

Sometimes its not a matter of knowing how to fish, but knowing where they are biting today. I learned about this site from a recommendation, not by checking out every hit on Google. Sometimes the best way to help someone is to simply answer the question (particularly if what they really need is a recommendation).

That said, I haven't seen any other web master forums as good as this. If anyone knows of one, please sticky me.

Not really. WebmasterWorld has a few shining edges, but it is not all that is there to know. ;)
