I wanted to have live chat support software for my website so i was trying out various options both free and paid services
untill now i have selected
LIVEchatnow from paid ones and
HCL from free ones to be considered for final selection

I have tried livechat now for 15days and am pretty happy with this also its afordable at $19.5 per month

what are your views regarding this?
which software you are using and any better suggestions for this.
which software from paid and free would you suggest?
I just wanted to know your views so that i may not be missing any vital information in this regard.

I dont want to go for liveperson as they are too costly to afford for me

LIVEchatnow is an excellent live chat feature, that is probably the best, next to Liveperson. Their customer service is good, and the software is fast and easy to understand.

I personally use Liveperson for all my paid live chat needs. LIVEchatnow I have used in the past, and am considering switching in the near future. I think you should stick with LIVEchatnow.

which software from paid and free would you suggest?

For free live chat software, I would recommend Skybound Meetpoint, they offer many of the same features, and you can talk to 20 different customers per month. They also offer paid plans, if the 20 a month is not enough.

Another free live chat I would strongly suggest, is Crafty Syntax. CS is hosted and installed on your own servers, so you don't have to worry about the downtime of other remotely hosted ones. It is totally open source, and easy to use.

I use a product called AbsoluteLiveSupport from Xigla.com and adore it.

I own it - no monthly fees - can customize it as I see fit, and it always works.

I highly recommend it.

Yes i love using Live chat now its so easy and cheap as comapred to live person which charges too much

I dont like personally hosted editions as they create so much mess in the log files which become useless to read then...do you any solutions for this?

I have seen csl but i wanted the software which i can run from the windows desktop instead of browser so i left it

another problme is that i have linux hosting
