I have a couple different sites that I used various hosting providers.
I am haveing problems with one of these sites and now I forget what company hosts it for me.(CPU crash with data loss)

Can someone please tell me if there is a way to find my host just by my domain name?

Thanks

go to www.netcraft.com and enter your site in the Webserver Search in the top left - it'll tell you the netblock owner. Or just check your whois and see if you dns info is the same as your host name (not always).

Don't you FTP?
Go to your FTP and look for "edit"

the name in netcraft netblock owner is not familiar to me. I think it might be a reseller.
I checked to see if the netblock company had it's own site. But no luck.

dns info was not my host name

thanks for your help

Sometimes I wish I could forget who my host is. I have to change hosts due to "You get what you pay for"

Do you still have your HDD? if you live in a city you might find a Co. that does HDD data recovery although does not come free.

Do you keep a paper record of your accounting?
Then find where you made you hosting payments and call them just be straightforward and explain the situation you are in
They will pass you the info if your payment records are detailed enough to prove that you are really the payer!

Try using [webyield.net...]

Type domain in whois Inquiry.
Then click on Show whois output.

This always does it for me.
