Is it possible?

I've got a zip disk that is unreadable. In fact, I have several, due to a problematic zip drive, which has now been replaced, but I have recovered the data that was held on all the others from backups, etc. There is just one disk left where I can't do this.

The problem is that the disk is unreadable in a zip drive. I think the dicky drive must have corrupted the directory or something. I've had a similar problem before with zip drives, but they've always corrupted a file in the middle of the disk. (The drives seem to last only a year or so before breaking down, and having to be replaced.)

I've been in touch with Iomega, who say their data recovery dept might be able to help, but it's based in the USA and I'm in Britain. They do not have the facilities for data recovery anywhere else in the world.

The data is not worth sending across the Atlantic (the disk was corrupted in July and I've only just noticed, so you can see that's it's possible for me to live without it). But I was wondering if anyone knew of a UK-based data recovery service that may be able to help.

Thanks. Of course, I failed to do the obvious second step after no joy from iomega. But at least its out there for others who have the same problem.

It's good to have friends here :)
