An impossible credit card charge...

I received an email from someone yesterday saying that I wrongly charged their credit card 29.95. The problem with this is that I don't take credit cards and I don't have any services that I charge 29.95 for. Is there anyway that this is possible? Some sort of weird hosting problem by chance?

What I'm trying to say is, can the identity of a site be stolen in some way?

You might just have a doddering fool on the other end.

We had a correspondent last week insist that we charged her credit card improperly and made us go through all kinds of hoops to try to trace it down before it finally came out in a series of correspondence that the charge was from "Ohio" - the place, a company, we don't know - and somehow a mystical Google search for Ohio and whatever other search terms she deemed relevant turned up our web site and so she figured we must know something about the charge. Idiocy knows no bounds.
