e-mail extraction

I currently have a problem - I am looking for a web host at present. This has to be one of the most boring and frustrating tasks of my life thus far. The amount of crap that one has to sift through - it often takes a long time on a host's site to really get down to what they are ACTUALLY offering and what it ACTUALLY costs.

The problem is compounded by the fact that my needs are pretty specialised. So, a lot of web hosts fall out of the equation immediately - thus it is a long struggle to find something suitable. I have recently found a website that is a fantastic resource for finding a web host:

I want to e-mail the whole gambit of companies listed on this site. To do this I would have to follow the links off this website, go to each companies page, and find their e-mail address.

To save time - I am wondering whether anyone knows any search engine type tool that can do this for me - that can spider around in this little piece of the web and extract e-mail addreses. Such that then I can send a single e-mail to all the web hosting companies, listing what I am after, rather than sending to each one individually.

Sounds like you are after an email harvesting bot. I don't know of any that are open to the public. You normally build these yourself. Also I doubt it is going to be useful for sending out a hosting request since it will grab all email addresses it finds. It is useful if you are trying to do email spam, which I'm sure is not what you were thinking ;).

no my intentions are honest. it is bulk mailing which is a bit iffy on the ethical front. But it is targeted just to web hosting companies about a web hosting. So, I am happy with it - not losing any sleep.

try emailing "sales @ webhostingcompany dot com" for each one. Almost all companies use this for their sales dept.

Or, they forward that "sales@" address to whatever is the correct one.
