CMS for online stories?

I am trying to find a content management system to allow visitors to one of my sites to register, login, post stories, edit their stories, and possibly other features.

I am familiar with full-featured systems such as phpNuke, but I am looking for something I can integrate into my existing site.

Does anyone know of such a system? I know I really should just start getting into PHP more and use databases, but I am still a ways off from that step :)

I have a really nice little program called "Mirror". Far as I can tell, the guy is long gone, but you can still find the program on download sites around. One of his other programs was a REALLY early blog called Online Journal (1999!) - it still works great too....

His name is Sergey Zozulevich - his website is long gone (actually, I just tried to find updated versions of both programs about a week ago....)

I would assume you could google for him the way I did, and find the available downloads....
