Shared IP web address.....versus DEDICATED IP web address

Is this too risky for being put on a blocked list with search engines?

I use Hostave for all 3 of my sites, however I was shocked to find out that my 3 IPs addresses (since shared as part of Hostsave) are listed as spam with some of the main search engines. Not one of my sites is related to porn or other offensive topics, but I imagine I am getting a bad rap due to the shared IP address. But the cost for a dedicated IP address seems to cost a fortune and surely more sites out there, even the good ones, don't go with a dedicated IP address every time. So is this really going to affect my ranking for the most part? I am just worried I am being labeled something I am not...Now in saying that, my one site is ranking quite well with all the search engines....go figure. However, is there any easy fix for getting off the blocked IP list?

Curious where you go to find out if your site is listed as spam with the major SE's. They never tell most of us. We're just left to guess and worry, guess and worry...

Anyway, I'd venture to say that the majority of wm's in here use dedicated IP's if they care about their sites, and these days, it's either bundled with the hosting plan, or costs no more than another $3-5 a month.

If you are in the game to make more than $20-$30/month, get a dedicated IP. If nothing else, it takes away a few worries. :-)

Hi there, I actually pay $8.95 per month to have each of my IP's hosted. So you are saying I can find as host for only $5 to $7 a month more for a dedicated IP for each, so as to guarantee the same IP address is not also shared by a spammer? That would be great, but where?
