Adult site has linked to me?

Tell me why on earth a pornorgraphy site would see fit to link to mine? My site is a business site for yachting vacations and has absolutely nothing to do with pornography.

Should I write to the webmaster and ask for the link to be removed? Sorry to sound so prudish, but I really hate the sort of thing they are "selling".

What would you do. What are my options?

Are you just seeing a referral from the site or have you seen the page with the link on it?

I saw it in my referral log, so I clicked on it and went to the page. Yup the live link is there for the whole world to see and I am really not happy about it.

Any advice how to handle this Oilman?

I'd just fire off an email politely requesting that they delete the link. I can't see any reason why they wouldn't comply. I'm a little baffled as to why they would have linked to you in the first place.

I am baffled as well. See your sticky mail for the address. Maybe you'll see something I am not catching.

It looks like they are somehow capturing the last site you came from and putting in the "Vote for your Favorite". That's where you saw your link right?

I don't really understand your question. I never visited that site until I saw the link in my referral logs.

However, it did say vote for your favourite site there???

It's something dynamically generated. When I go to it is lists WMW since that's the site I came from. I wouldn't worry about it. It's not really there. I know that sounds about as clear as mud but there's some really funky javascript at the bottom of the page that's grabbing all kinds of info.

That's pretty scary! Is it someone's idea of a way to generate traffic to their site? If so, the guy or girl is one warped puppy!

I guess that means I don't need to write the webmaster, huh.
