I've sold a banner to a customer, and she swears that she can't see any of my ads on the site. She took a screen shot, and sure enough, it's not there, but the appended code that I placed with the ad tha says "Paid Advertisement" is viewable.
Also, she can't view the log in page for phpadsnew, so she can't check her stats.
She's using (gasp) AOL 9.0, DSL, etc. Where can I start with this person?

Norton Internet Security blocks ads by default, and most users aren't aware it is doing this. The way round this is to pay attention to the block list, and make sure your ads don't conform to any of the usual characteristics of advertising. You can find the NIS list here: [adblock.org...]
The good news is that most of your visitors will see the adverts, but as more people get NIS and other adblocking software you will have to find a strategy for dealing with this.
