I am brand new to this game and have only built 2 sites so far (you can tell!). So I am a complete novice and the little things that should be easy are giving me problems. For example, I have submitted my site to google and when my domain name is searched for by name all it comes up with is my domain with no description. How do I get my description to show?

Thanks

Two things:

1. Time - The URL, but no description means that GoogleBot (their web crawler) knows about your page, but hasn't come by to index it yet. (Or it's been crawled, but not really added to their public database yet.)

2. Links - Get other sites to link to your site. The more high quality sites the better. GoogleBot will find and index your site through these other links. In general, the more links pointing to your site, the more often GoogleBot will come around.
