I process about 3000 catalog size envelopes per month and use an HP 1220C printer to print the addresses directly onto the envelope. Well my printer gave out on me, so I need a new setup.

What do you folks recommend for an automated or quick address labeler? Preferably either a dedicated labeler or a printer. I want to print the addresses directly onto the envelopes. Is there a better setup to process that volume? I'm in desperate need of a new/better setup. Any recomendations?

Thanks
Tom

You could try a thermal Eltron printer. The standard size most people seem to use is 4x6, but they do make smaller rolls of these printers. They are very cheap these days - used for about $50 USD shipped. They are designed primarily for printing shipping labels. Since they are a thermal they do not smear in the rain.

Either that or laser printer labels would work fine.
