I was watching some game show where they play for a million dollars yesterday and something interesting happened.

The host offered $30,000 to a contestant to quit the competition. It was one of those, tempt-you-with-money-to see-how-confident-you-are kind of things.

It got me thinking,

If I was given $30,000 tomorrow, would I be able to quit my job (lets pretend I'm not in college) and live long enough on that money to build myself a liveable income from the internet?

I would have all day everyday to work, but one year of free-time is all the $30,000 would give me, could I do it in a year? Could you?

30K buys a lot of tacos and margaritas in tropical zones.

If you were to start in AM and you had 30K in the bank, but were able to live on a modest budget will you built up your network and income, I don't see why not.

Nope.

I have websites with income, but given $30,000 it would not keep me going to long in terms of living income.

I believe that I would have been able to about 2 1/2 to 3 years ago before I was in a commited relationship. Now I have a child on the way so 30k just won't cut it now. :)

Yeah you would be able to do that. I know people who have started up good businesses with less money than that.

I personally can make a living on the internet by spending less than £100 per week.
Spent £20 the other week and that alone converted into over a weeks wages.

There is more to making money on the net than getting people to click on links for 0.00001c a time or whatever!

Yes, easily.

I supported myself and my two children on $12,000 a year for 5 years. I could make 30 grand go a long way.
