Hello Everyone,
I am not sure if this is the right forum but I have a questions. I launched a few sites in July for some clients. All the sites are being found by yahoo with the exception of one. This particular site has a very heavy competitor in the same business of real estate who has been very destructive in the real world to his business. Is there a possibility of getting this website banned from yahoo so that it does not show up as being found?

Thank you in Advance
Dee

Why not ask yahoo if they can remove all of your competitors from the index ;o)

If he is as destructive as you think surely he will dig his own hole.

I did not know that you could ask Yahoo to do that. What can be done to get this site back on there?
Thank you in advance

"I did not know that you could ask Yahoo to do that"

You can't LOL - it was meant to be funny I believe ;).

I doubt it's something your competitor did, but I won't say it's impossible. Yahoo seems to "ban" a lot of sites for no apparent reasoning. You'll prob get better advice in the Yahoo forum.

If there was a way to keep competition out of a search engine, we would all be working on that and not posting here.
My only advice, ignore the competition and work on getting your site to the top of the index.

Oh ya, there are no stupid questions.
If you don't know something and you ask for an answer, that does not make someone stupid. It makes you smart because you are trying to find the answer.

Thank you everyone,
You have helped. I did find out that there is a way to get a site banned from yahoo that was up there. It is very difficult but it most certainly can be done. This guy did it by saying the name was being copied which in realty it isnt. Just so you know. Now to find out how to get the site off the banned list. Realtors can sure be tough competitors. Dog eat Dog world.

Thank you again

It is better to ask your question and appear stupid for 5 minutes, than not to ask it and remain stupid for the rest of your life!
