I am about to change my MX records with my host, so they match a different mail server.

The host claims that they charge a fee for all mx records changed. I am currently in a plan that I pay more than $20 a month for. Is this fee fair?

not at all fair.

I have my domains parked at Verio and GoDaddy, and there is no fee for anything related to zone file changes as long as I do it myself.

If you want someone from that company to do it, then yes, they should charge you a fee.

I would seriously think about moving your domain registration.

Thanks for the quick response. I am changing the MX records through my host, not my domain name company. I use the ensim control panel if that is any help. How do I change the MX records manually?

you need to have access to the zone files to do that.
