Surfing USA serps from UK

in order to set up new USA based site

Not sure if this is the place to be....

I am going to set up a new US centric site for a specialised area that I already have in the UK - basically I want to be able to surf US results, rather than UK centric ones.... is there an easy way to do this rather than purchasing a US ISP line (cos of the cost of calls).

Could I simply use a proxy-service site for a few pounds per month, but would that be the best solution.

Thanks for any help

Okay, I'm prepared to be shot down in flames here, but aren't the Google, MSN and Yahoo natural listings the same in the UK and US? I know you have to set preferences in MSN to not be directed to the UK filtered results though ...

PPC results are a different matter, and you'll need a US based proxy for those.

tut tut jetboy didn't you listen to anything i said at seoroadshow lol...

LittleFrodo : download the latest firefox (in fact you should have already done that ;) )

then dowload SwitchProxy jgillick.nettripper.com/switchproxy/#install

Don't use [update.mozilla.org...] it does NOT work

then get the anon proxies for the countries you want... bingo

I thought I did, but alcohol and information retention don't go together very well. ;)
