Does anyone know of a reputable source to purchase royalty-free maps (images) for use on a commercial website? There's an Atlas site out there that has some nice, clickable ones and I wanted to emulate that style.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you want, but you can purchase maps from mapquest and other leading map sources to put or your website.

Last year I bought a royalty-free CD with tons of different maps in various formats (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc). The cost was $200, which I thought was cheap. I'll sticky you with the URL for the company.

The nice thing about the .psd files is that they're layered, so you can remove county highways, interstates, county borders...in other words you can customize them to fit your needs.

There is a site run by teh her majesty's cartographers in the Uk, maps are free to reproduce providing you place a link to teh site.
