The client is familiar with Yahoo shopping cart and knows already its admin section
Any comments regarding the hosting or cart?
thank you
Henry
As far as the shopping cart, Yahoo makes it easy. Just set up the database, throw a snippet of code on your existing, optimized pages for the buy button, and Yahoo does the rest. No more of the archaic RTML coding - just simple code that Google loves to gobble up pages on.
While it doesn't interface to the larger MAS 90/200 accounting packages, it does work very well with QuickBooks, and they have a lot of statistics reporting built in for (both) the shopping side and server side.
Overall I would rate it very high for the money. All of our clients are very happy with it, whether it's a small company selling 10 products processing $5,000 a month - to the larger firms with as many as 500 products processing $250,000 a month.

So I will not hesitate embarking on that route
Another aspect that pleases my client is that he will be able to use the UPS label printing interfacing capability
FYI, since that person is in rush I was going to use
OsComm as the E-comm solution
A similar UPS printing addition has been made available to OsComm but threads on forum let me think that it still needs a bit of work
So I will gladly use Yahoo E-comm system

Out of Bounds:
Public discussion and recommendation of hosting companies is no longer allowed at WebmasterWorld.
netguy, this is not aimed at you (and I'm sure you're sincere in your comments) - but in general, recommendations and testimonials for hosting companies should be taken with a large pinch of salt. The overwhelming majority are spam rather than a genuine recommendation. The only real way of knowing if a company is good or not is to try them out and discover for yourself.
Unfortunately (or fortunately) I didn't even realize Yahoo had stand-alone hosting (I prefer dedicated myself), and didn't think there were any restrictions on talking about e-commerce. In the future, you might help the rest of us by shutting down the thread early. When some of us have the time to come in and contribute to a topic that we have some knowledge about, we (I) tend to ramble a bit.
encyclo, the good news is I can say that without provocation, I am not, nor have I ever been, nor would I want to be, an employee of Yahoo. ;)
