hi, i'm currently a web designer trying to break into development in the uk, after taking a 6 month break from employment to brush up on some coding skills i'll be looking to get back to work soon.

i was just wondering how u guys keep your skills up to date, is it normal to expect employers to send staff for training or am i expected to take another 6-8 months off a couple of years from now?

just wondering

Every organization should invest in their employees and send them to seminars and training.

Our organization allocated budget for approximately 5 days of training per employee. Employee and manager negotiate the kind of training that will mutually benefit employee and the company.
