Is it possible to pack a website into an .exe?

and run it from a CD?

So that the there is no need to use a browser?

Maybe there is software that does this? I am hoping that I do not need to use director/flash as my actionscript and lingo knowledge is tentative to say the least.

I could think of 101 uses for this, if indeed it can be done?

Ta, Limbo.

Thanks bcolflesh

Looks like just the ticket :). Have you used this? Would you say this is easy to learn/implement? Any comments on this software?

I also use an IIS emulator which allows people to run websites on their local machines without being online.

My favorite is Natata e-book compiler. makes an .exe file with built in browser and allows restrictions on printing, etc.

I've tried both the HTMLexe and Natata software and at the moment Natata is the winner. It's interface is more user friendly and the results are closer to the original HTML. HTML.exe doesn't cope well with javascript or forms.

Occupant - is it possible to open the finished ebook without any of the toolbars - so the users is only faced with the content and no option to click back, forward, links elsewhere etc. I will be launching the site using autorun and would prefer the user to have a 'total' experience.
