Getting my listings in Google Definitions

I just did a "define: keyword" search on my topic and found google had NO definitions for my keyword.

I think this could be a very cool way to get some more listings.

However, I cannot figure out how to get listed in google definitions... any suggestions?

I do not think they have any plans to update.

Plans to update or not... Here's a way to suggest definitions (just searched "internet" to keep it general). I "suggested" a definition for a client related phrase and a URL... we'll see if they update.

Formatting.

While the best way of formatting is to use definition lists:

term

definition

It seems you don't *need* to do that. Many definitions are done in a style like this:

term - definition

or

term: definition

Many of these pages have "glossary" in the title and heading as well.

Creating a page of this kind of format should help in getting ranked with the "define" keyword.

I think I'd start with putting words like dictionary, glossary and definitions in the page title and head.

Do some define: searches. There are some "expert" sites without those terms, otherwise it seems to hold up.

Wow! Got caught on the phone while posting and drbrain already made my point
