Ok, so www.alexa.com gives a 404 and
www.google.com/search?q=widget gives a 503

Service error -27.

Huh?

WebmasterWorld works fine obviously (hence this post) so what on Earth is going on?

Same error for me.

I can't get to the log-in screens for AdWords or Overture either.

Update: Alexa seems to be working on a different connection/phone line/IP which is odd (but not this one), but G is still giving 503s.

DDoS maybe?

GoogleGuy?

Yahoo is very slow from my location too.

Another thread suggest that several SE's are being hit by a variant of the MYDOOM virus.

Received several "bounced" emails with the MyDoom virus attachment (luckily ISP is on the ball and deleted all attachments) so it would appear that what you read on another thread might be true, wbf.
