SEO Programs that improve rankings

I heard from a friend about an SEO program you can buy that will show you how to increase your rankings by comparing your site to the top 10 sites ranked in certain search engines and under certain words. He told me that these programs pretty much do all the analysis for you and then they give you recommendations for what you should do to your site. Does anyone know the name of the program or software? And, if more than one, which one is the best?
Thanks,

Trey

Welcome to Webmaster World, Trey.

It is possible that somebody will sticky you a private answer, but this is one of those questions that you should not expect to get answered in a thread. One of the problems in a forum like Webmaster World is that so many people would like to use it to market their own services. Answering your question might be regarded as an attempt of such marketing.

Yes, and let me tell you, if it were really that simple, wouldn't we all have the software, and wouldn't that really defeat the object of it in the first place?

Many people on here would be out of a job if it really were that simple, but as we all know SEO cannot ever be reduced to a set of duplicatable instructions.

This type of software can help, but on its own it is never enough.

Exactly. Programs can automate some processes for you, but when it comes to making judgements you will have to do that yourself.

And I wonder if such programs would analyse all the pages that link to the competing page?

I think I know the program you are talking about. I used it for a while. It's a site comparison tool that compares keyword density and links. You can run it on a site in the top of the listings to see what they did to get it there, but it will not tell you the PR of the linking sites, and that makes a huge difference. You have to know about SEO to implement the stepes to get YOUR site there. It doesn't do SEO for you.

Google doesn't like it ..not cos it works ..it doesn't ..because it pulls bandwidth ..it can get you penalised by Google for using it ..Google run ads for it ..why? Google is a business...

Better idea save 100$ ..hang around here ..read ..digest ..ask questions ..
