Live Customer Support on Website?

I have a client who is interested in me setting up a live customer support feature. Similar to a chat. I've seen this on websites and so far the options I've come across are quite costly. Does anyone have any leads/thoughts on a relatively inexpensive solution?

Thanks,
Kevin

Go to Google and search for live help. Bold Chat offers a free version and Live Person does have a low cost version. I would suggest that you try a demo first. This will help you to decide if this feature will increase sales for the website also it will let you know if the product is good before you buy it. A useful $1,000 program is better than a bug filled $100 program.

There are actually quite a few decent not too costly ones out there. I dropped all my links to that sort of thing when I discovered just how irritating it was to try to really "troubleshoot" using them....

From a consumer POV, I do NOT have the patience to mess with them. A telephone is WAY easier, and a toll-free number a FAR better use of money. (IMO, of course....)

I've narrowed down my choices to Boldchat and LivePerson. Does anyone have an opinion or experience with either of these? Any negative experiences?

Thanks,
Kevin
