Is Webhosting Stuff is going to be so Cheap?

Hi Folks.. well i have a question in mind. Now days you guys have seen that Yahoo! Google and now MSN 100 , 1GB and 2GB respectively Free Email/ webhosting services to any user. Is there something going to be really so cheap that now we will get all these stuff FREE OF COST? really really confused. Can anyone assist regarding this?

It's not "free" in the strictest sense. It's paid for by advertising.

You can get "free" website hosting now (geocities etc) but it's also paid for by advertisers.
