This can't be rocket science, but how do you create a link to a file that will come up with a dialog of "save file", rather than the browser trying to open the file with the appropriate plug-in ete.? It doesn't matter whether the file is a PDF, a text file, an executable, a .doc etc.

I want to link to myfile.pdf to bring up the "save file" dialog. Can anyone give a simple, w3 compliant way of doing this? I don't want an IE proprietary version.

Thanks,

Sandi - having a blonde day, and can't figure this out...
