Hi All

My outlook express is starting to act up on me so I thought it may be a good time to look for an alternative.

I run several busy sites so software that easily lets me use varing identities would be useful.

Do any of you have experience of other solutions?

What sort of features would you recommend I look for?

Of course any recommendations or experiences of good email managment software would be most helpful.

Trying to find the best value most feature packed and easy to use email software out there if that is not too much to ask.

All comments welcome.

Many thanks

The Punter

I've used TheBat [ritlabs.com] exclusively for 2+ years and it never let me down. Powerful filtering "office", regex support, very reliable and immune to the stupid OE vulnerabilities. Still haven't explored its full capabilities...

Try Eudora:

[eudora.com...]

It manages easily different identities.

Quite better than Outlook!

Informed money down heavy on both of these.
No guantees but this particular source wins a lot more than he than he loses long term. :)

The Bat is good. Pegasus is feature rich - will handle multiple identities with ease. Well supported. Stable. Secure. I've used it for four years with no complaints handling mail from 6 domains. Highly recommend it.
If you don't need what Pegasus has to offer check out Pocomail as well as the Bat, Becky, Eudora.

I currently use Pegasus. I have never tried using multiple identities so I can't speak to that........It's a very powerful program. The "prettiness" of the program isn't great, but it is very functional...One of the best things about it is that it's free.

Funny title! "Better than Outlook" ... lol ... that cracks me up. You don't think you set the bar too high did you? :)

Cheer to all above.

By the looks of things outlook dosn't get too much respect from you lot :)

There are a few good looking alternative ideas above.

Now I have a couple of good alternatives. I am a bit frightened of switching however.

Do any of the above make it possible to import address books / mesage rules from outlook.

I have for example over 60 message rules set up in outlook express on one of the identities.

Do I just have to bite the bullet and re enter all these manually or is there a quicker and easier way with any of the above software?

PS Highman. Hope you got on at one of the early shows :) 3's were available earlier on the internet but with the right faces on the track going in hard, grandma lily was hammered on course.
Any how 2 out of 2 :+)
