technical specifications document

Are there resources to help me develop this document for a proposed site?

Hi all. This is my first post and I'm really looking forward to hearing your responses.

I need to do a technical specifications document (is this even the correct term) that outlines the functionality (calendars, message boards, site search engine, online surverys, blogs, etc.) of a proposed site.

Are there any resources that I could use to see how these type of documents are written?

To define each segment utility specification
You need to combine your client's requirements
with the tools functionality

Be extra cautious in the wording
Why: your description will need to be inserted in the contract
This is the way I do it so each party has a clear view of each other’s expectations

In addition since a contract is not an “How to”
I always supply my clients with a manual so they can ahead of time review
how to use the CMS, get report D-loaded in XL etc....
