Forum Moderators: phranque
First I'd like to say that thanks to this forum, In 5 months I've been able to create a popular website that now pays for itself and is on its way to paying my cell phone bill. (70+ pages of content, 800 member opt-in nl) In December all I knew was elementary HTML. Thank you for your help so far.
What I've found recently is that I'm losing a lot of potential interaction with users because they take their comments on my content to popular bulletin boards on my site's topic. It doesn't seem that creating a full BB is a good idea, because this area is already dominated.
I do think that people would enjoy making quick comments about some of the articles I have.
I'm interested in adding some rather simple "Comment on this story" functionality to some of my big content pages. Examples of what i'm looking for can be found at the bottom of any IMDB movie page, or at the bottom of articles on Ain't It Cool News.
I've never set up a login/registration for a site, so suggestions for any additional tutorials would be appreciated.
My site builds pages using SSI's, and I'm on an ASP enabled server. I haven't played with ASP, or PHP before--though i have a strong programming background.
Thank you
kp
Would anyone care to suggest one they have used successfully?
gracias,
