#2. My color is all out of wack on IE 6.0, all webpages, Aol..how do I correct this.

Ex. colors that should be orange are yellow, dark green is a fussy lighter green, blues are purples are real light etc....

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi Dan ,

To see recently accesed documents, go to Start ¦ Documents. If you don't see it, right click on the start button, choose properties and enable it.

The colour thing sounds like a bad driver for your monitor. Check the monitor install disks ¦ Website for a newer driver.

Hi,

Sanenet, thanks for the my document tip. I have it displayed as menu. It list all my documents...how can I have it so it just shows the last 10 or so viewed?

I bought a brand new computer and monitor so everything now is brand new and works great...except that the color is asque a bit.

Thanks,
Dan

I had this problem too. First thing I did was adjust the settings of the monitor iteslf through the buttons on it. Then I fiddled with the setings in windows, then the settings within the video card's program, then Adobe's Gamma adjuster got it right.

If you have Photoshop, Adobe Gamma comes with it. It lets you adjust all kinds of color settings for your monitor.

Here's a gamma adjuster I found for free:

Also, this site has a ton of information about gamma and color on monitors...

companyone: just because it's a brand-new machine doesn't mean the drivers are up-to-date.

AND your XP installation more than likely needs a ton of updates as well....

If you did the installation yourself you need to install the driver for your display card. Windows only installs a generic driver so that you can use the machine. Most likley it is either a Nvidia card or ATI card. You'll need to know which. For the Nvidia it's simple, their drivers are a single download regardless of what model card you have. If it's a ATI you'll need to also determine the model number.

Most likley it's the same for your monitor but this is not as important as having the correct display drivers.
