How can it happen? from PR0 to PR5

One of my websites passed from PR0 to PR5 in google.
does it mean I will grow positions when searching?

how can it happen? I donīt understand it very well, to be honest.

Yes and No.
Your PR increased because you have links pointing to your site and maybe a good content.

Nothing to do with content, except maybe indirectly (the reason people are linking to you).

PR is solely based on PR being passed from other sites by their linking to you. Nothing else.

Make use of it by deep-linking internally to the "money" pages of your website from the PR5 page, with well-chosen verbage in the anchor text.

Another thing that could explain the BIG PR jump... You're site could have been in a high PR blog, that just got picked up. I saw the exact same thing happen to my personal site.
