Hello

As almost everybody I'm getting hundreds of e-mails a month. Some of them contain useful information which I might need a couple of months from now. I am also required by law to keep a backup of my e-mails.

I was wondering if you could come up with a good backup solution still allowing to search the full text. I'm using Outlook Express and Thunderbird.

I wish I knew.

My solution is primitive. I have a specified file for my Outlook Express message store, and every so often (when I remember) I make a copy of it and archive it on a different disc.

I've never had to, but if I needed to retrieve an email, Outlook Express could be temporarily switched to one of the old message stores.

There is also a utility which will retrieve emails from old message stores without using Outlook Express.
