Hi:
I am wondering if anyone else has run into this:
I have in a website a folder named "ads". In it are numerous descriptive ads I post some clients.
(like www.mysite.com/ads/ad1/index.html)

3 times this past month I have been contacted by viewers who told me they could not access any of the ads from their computer.
Comments were:
-On the index page for the ads (if it came up), some text and the links were missing.
-On other pages in the main site, the links to the ads index page was missing.
(like to www.mysite.com/ads/index.html)
-A redirected url to the ad index page would also not work.

I am guessing it is either a problem with their particular computers or possibly some spam blocking software that would key in on the word "ads" and block the links.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Webbey

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, webbey!

The problem almost certainly lies with the program Norton Internet Security 2003 or 2004. That particular program blocks all images being served from directories named "ad", ads" and dozens of other, similar, iterations.

The only solution is to change the directory name to something less conspicuous.
