I keep getting a lot of emails with viruses attached that are from... NO ONE! I was watching my mail logs today, and saw that these emails are also going out to many of my clients addressed to admin@whateverdomain.com. I get them sent to me @ admin@me.com. The from field of the headers is always blank.

Just testing this idea out, but what if I stopped all mail that didn't have a from field? Could my clients miss email? I mean, really... who doesn't have their from field filled in excpet some spammers and VIRUSES?

I'm interested to hear the response.

I have been getting inundated with email that has no subject, no from field, no to field, and no body. I'm using SpamBayes Outlook add-in and it filters all these to the junk mail and I delete them from there.

Welcome to Webmaster World!

Thanks for the tip. I've been looking for a free / inexpensive way to get a real filter in Outlook. I gonna give it a shot.

Still doesn't solve my server side issue though. After discussing it with a much smarter webmaster, I have concluded that I can't do much about it.
