Adding lyrics to my site...

What is the easiest way?

Hey, I am thinking about adding a lyrics section to my site. I know there are a lot of sites out there so certainly not all of them started with nothing. So there are either two conclusions I can come up with:

1) There is some global database these sites tap into or
2) There is some script that scans other sites and inserts them into the current site database.

I am guessing if it is the latter such a script exists due to there being so many lyrics sites available.

If anyone can please shed some light please let me know or if I should get working on a lyrics spider of my own...

Thanks,
Brandon

it's called plaigarism and it's rampant.

Lyrics are usually opyrighted by their author, and unless you get permission to reproduce them you're in violation.

Not to mention that most lyrics sites have atleast 3,000 authors plagiarized; they practically BEG for a lawsuit.

Of course, a lyrics link page (along with a disclaimer that you're not the one that's violating the copyright) might be a useful resource for some people - who would become regular visitors, if you put the work in to keep the page up-to-date. (And it would be a lot of work.)

You would then become the virtual "central database" for lyrics.

In that case I believe you could use a [modified?] version of LinkSQL to do this.
