The most common ways of searching that I know of are:

Keyword,Map,County,Postcode,Region,Country,Product and Cluster.

I can't think of anymore.

Date can be significant for some kinds of searches. What kind of data are you searching, christopher? I'd say each of these has pros and cons, but they are different for different kinds of data. A forum search function may be quite different in needs from a product search function, for example.

I was talking about Search Engine searches. Search by date. Well, I must admit that I don't know of a SE that uses date to search.

I haven't come across one anyway.
