Subdomain and search engines

I'm thinking of hosting part of a site on a subdomain. Has anyone had or heard of issues with search engines finding pages on a subdomain?

The SE's are finding all my subdomain pages just fine.
The only issue I ever had arose from post-testing, and I left the noindex meta tag up for 2 weeks.
