I actually got a call from a sales person who claimed that they had "proprietary" software that had not only cracked the google algo, but could crack the google algo everytime it changed. And of course for a modest fee, they would use this software on my site so I could be guaranteed #1 - #10 placing from here to eternity.

When pressed for exactly how his software would do this, his answer was that it was proprietary. Mmm, Hmm.

First of all, the company's site didn't even rank for their own name, oh wait, it did but through a doorway page they had set up.

Second, a quick search of Google, informed me that their SEO techniques involved link farms and doorway pages.

Third, the sales guy, who had a very distinct voice, claimed to be a different person that the person who left the voicemail!

Why do these people have to be so darn stupid. I know, I know... It's b/c they can dupe some people into believing they have the magic elixir.

He might not be lying. He probably can crack the Google Spam Identification Algo' everytime.

I can't tell you how many voicemails and emails like that I get forwarded to me from my clents (before they're trained).
