Looking to add news headlines to my site

I'm currently developing a site for auto enthusiasts and would like to include a free news feed on the homepage that displays auto industry news. I've found carBC.com and they offer a free service in RSS. Since I'm new to this sort of thing, does anyone have any thoughts or recommendations on a) a free car newsfeed service b) a news aggregator program

carBC.com recommends the following newsaggregators. Do I need to install one on the server my site would run on?

News aggregators have been proliferating lately. Some popular ones are Amphetadesk (for Windows, Linux, or Mac), Radio (for Windows or Mac), NewzCrawler (for Windows), NetNewsWire (for Mac), and FeedReader (a bare-bones Estonian PC version). Three aggregators that require a bit more technical knowledge are Syndirella, Aggie and NewsGator (all require Microsoft's .NET to be installed on your PC). There's also Fyuze.com, a web-based aggregator, so you don't need to download software. Or if you'd like your RSS headlines in a news ticker, try wTicker (for Windows).

There are several internet aggregators that provide the services.. Keep in mind that most of the ones you rattled off are personal readers and won't parse the feeds for web use.

Also keep in mind that generally using a feed commercially will require payment. Most feeds are provided strictly for personal use.

Also if you have a RSS/XML that you want to parse you can use feedwrapper.com to provide a JavaScript output.

Another way to get less mainstream, more interesting content is to get RSS feeds from blogs.

Daypop and Technorati provide the word on the street on a topic.

Tip: make usre to use quotes in your search, is "search engine optimization" or else you'll get back all the ORs on the subject.
