I am interested in creating dynamic page websites. I have used html for all of my previous sites. However, I have never used dynamically created content.

Is there a software package or script that anyone can recommend? Where should I start?

Take a look at PHP. It's a code that can be self taught.

Cold Fusion is easy to learn, tag based, no code to learn.

since the other two options have been mentioned, I will put in my preference of .NET , depending on your requirements you may use MySQL or Access to go with it.

... and I'll add in: "Why not try Perl?"... <grin>

Now that cyberprofit is thoroughly confused, let's get on target a bit here.

You say you want to create dynamic content. What is the source of the data that it will be created from, (ie- database, text files, user input, image files, dates, alignment of the planets?)... Seriously, the data source could be a good place to start.

And... on the other end, what you want to produce as an end result --- that would be a good place to finish.

Now all you need is the middle... and that's where most likely some flavor of CGI scripting will come into action.

Other things to consider are what you are using for web page creation now, as it may have some capabilities to produce scripts for your needs and have a seamless development platform.

Be a little more specific and I'm sure you'll get your answers here.
