Updating DNS IP info at different registrars

In the near future, my web server and all hosted domains are going to be changing their IP addresses (new upstream provider). Since my web server is its own primary DNS server, I'm a bit nervous about getting the information updated at the various registrars. The primary DNS server name will remain the same (ns.ssih.com), but its IP address will be changing.

Last time I checked, this is plenty tricky, depending on the registrar. And as time goes on, and more registrars come into the picture, it becomes more of a nightmare.

The lion's share of the domains are registered with NSI and several with Register.com, but there are a handful that are registered with "other" registrars - joker.com, stargate.com, tucows.com, etc.

Do I have to search out all of the registrars for all of the domains on my server and do updates with all of them? I've never logged on to many of them and don't have accounts. Or if I make the change at my DNS server's registrar, will that information propagate around to the rest of them?

Are you saying that you have multiple name servers that you need to update?

Otherwise you just update the one name server ie your ns. and all the domains will be registerd to this name server address, the ip's will update themselves and they propogate through the system

I have one name server that will be changing. My primary DNS is also my web server its ip will be changing. My secondary DNS is a remote machine that won't be changing.

What concerns me is that if some of the domains on my server were registered with stargate.com, when the registration was set up, the primary and secondary DNS servers were specified, AND their IP addresses. How will Stargate know that the primary DNS IP address has changed?
