Hi,

Sometimes, some of my GIF and JPG files (between 5 to 10 %)become unknown files? Even my Fireworks (the software I used to create the GIF/JPG) is telling me "unknown files".

Any idea on what could be the problem?

I working on two CPU (one at home and one at work) and use a Flash USB memory to transfer files. Do you think that this could be the reason?

Please help!

Sounds like your file associations are messed up. Can you open the files from your graphics software?

Can you copy the files on another medium like a CD or Floppy? It might be the Flash Memory.

Fireworks and Paint can still open other GIFs and JPEGs, right? Just not the ones on your Flash memory?

It might be the Flash Memory.

Thanks for your response Bill.

That's what I think. I though the Flash was a reliable tool, but just wondering how comes it only affects pictures.
