Is it possible to have script or program that can change the language at the end user's request?

Anyone know how this can be done, and with what type of program or plug-in?

Thanks!

If I understand you correctly you want a software "on the fly" translation program for your site. If this is correct - so does everyone else. No such beast.

Current translation programs are hilarious at the best of times, disasterous at the worst. That is why you see web sites offering various language subsites not "translation".

You need human translation and separate pages.

I would love to be proved wrong! :-)

ah, I see. Thought there was a way to offer some sort of translation service like that.

ALWAYS use human translators.

But try linking people to a auto translated version. Fx. CNN.com in German [translate.google.com]:

..not good ;)

There are a couple of sites that offer "on the fly" translation service for domains. Since they have an affiliate program, I won't mention their name - but if you have a CJ account you should be able to find them pretty easily.

However, as everyone else says - these services stink.
