which one is better "regular link to page or pop up java link"

hi

i have a sport related website. i am trying to understand whihc way to go.

beside product picture and small description, i also have to have a link that will link to total description of the product, so my question is

should i make link to total description in pop up java window and make another page. reason why i need to know is i would like to make this as much search engine friendly as possible.

nothing's more friendly to the SEs than a regular old text link

Search engines can't run java or javascript so you popup window wouldn't work for them.
