Why not something useful?

With all the parasites attacking my browser, why don't they write a plugin to show what's really happening on the status bar? Do I need to right click and check source to see:

Mozilla lets you restrict what JavaScript can do - change the status bar, resize windows, open new windows, etc. You still have JavaScript enabled, but it stops some of the more annoying tricks on certain websites.

This may be true for the other browsers (Firebird, Opera, etc) but I haven't got them to check.
