My windows update keeps asking me to download and install some data access components. When I do the next day it asks me all over again.
Anyone know how to break the loop?

Did the same to me and on all 4 of my Win XP/2000 PC's. After the third update (third day), it finally quit the loop. Don't know if that was M$'s intention, or something else was wrong, but at least it's over with.... that is until the next M$ security bug shows up!

interesting - three for me too, and seems to have stopped for now. Perhaps it really was three updates?
