Mediapartners Google and Google

Are they the same?

I am using Urchin to monitor my site traffic. I have noticed than in the Browsers by Sessions Drilldown report. There is Mediapartners Google and Googlebot both. However Mediapartners Google has around 100 sessions everyday whereas Googlebot has 10 sessions. I dont understand what is Mediaprtners google.

Mediapartners is the bot what spiders the adsense ads on your site, as you have a page view it could be a few seconds to a few minutes later you will see reference to mediapartners in you log file.

googlebot is the spider what visits and indexes you site on a regular basis, now that is what normally happens but there is a link with both spiders.

I have launched new sites and not had a visit by googlebot but receive visitors from google due to the fact that I have got adsense on these sites. I think this would be denied by googleplex but I have monitored this over a few sites and it has occurred each time.
